With 15 years of post experience, Dave Oneal is an ideal part of your edit team. Starting as a linear editor, Dave
began on Avid systems back in 1994, and is equally comfortable on Final Cut equipped post suites.
(Working on Final cut since 1999)
Prior positions include staff editorial positions with E! Channel, cutting a variety of high impact programs.
At Modern Video Film, finalizing broadcast TV shows including “Friends”, “Profiler”, “Walker Texas Ranger”
and” Sabrina the Teenage Witch.” David did the online editing for America's top TV programs.
In addition he has done creative editing for HGTV series like “Great Hotels”, National TV spots for Lincoln-
Mercury, Jenny Craig, Del Taco, IHOP, ACLU, Ditech, LA Times, and Planned Parenthood.
David recently finished a made for TV movie for ABC Family with Wayne Brady entitled “The List” David also did the
offline edit for the A&E documentary “Return of the Pirates” David also completed season two of the reality series
"American Gangster" on BET, and in Spring of 2008, was an editor on the new History reality series called "UFO
Hunters." Currently David edits specials, promos, and sizzle reels for the Disney Channel as well as freelance editing
work on EPK's for "Tropic Thunder", "Friday the 13th", and recently "X Files 2."
Working both supervised and unsupervised in a variety of client based edit sessions, David will take pleasure
in meeting you and your clients expectations as well as finishing your project on time.
Skill Set
David works very well on all HD edit systems. Such as Avid systems like Symphony, Nitrus and Meridian Avids, as well
as Final Cut Systems with the Kona card. I have worked in both 30 and 24 frame formats and in both 1080 and 720. He has
expert knowledge of D-5 decks, HDCAM, Digital Betacam, DVCproHD, as well as P-2 Card formats, as well as full
knowledge of broadcast standards
In addition he can provide graphic work in Photoshop, After Effects, Motion, as well as trouble shooting of edit systems,
computers, and other post production related gear.
